I am expressing my intent to apply for the position of
Chair with the Upland Community Emergency Response Team (CERT).
My qualifications are as follows:
Member,
Upland CERT since 2011. Served as Vice Chair and Treasurer on the Executive
Committee. In addition, served as
Community Liaison Officer for the past two years. Completed Train the Trainer, and have served
on the Training Cadre, including teaching all of the recent classes. Have also served on the Claremont CERT
program including their Training Committee and have taught in their program as
well. Created the Pomona College CERT program and have taught
classes there for the past three years.
Have completed ride-alongs with Upland Fire Department as well as
Claremont Police Department.
Personal: Career
Educator with over 40 years in academic administration.
